What is camp?
Royal Family KIDS Camp is a one week resident Camp specifically designed for kids, ages 6 to 11 in the local Foster Care system.
The goal of Royal Family KIDS is to give lost and forgotten kids, a safe, fun, caring environment where they can flourish and create positive memories while trusting adults again. This is accomplished with a 100% Volunteer staff creating a more than 1:1 ratio of adults and children.
We believe “that one week does make a difference”.
What's different?
Our Campers are documented cases of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. The emotional needs of children in Foster Care are uniquely different than that of other children and many times they are not permitted to participate in “traditional” children’s camps.
The children benefit from the personal attention of their Counselor and all the structured activities designed for their success. A highlight of the week at Camp is "Everybody's Birthday Party". It is surprising how many Foster Children have never celebrated their birthday but at Camp EVERY child has a party complete with games, cake and ice cream and presents.
Royal Family KIDS, Pasco is passionate about the week of Camp and how it can benefit a child who needs to feel hopeful and loved. We believe that if “change the life of a child and change our community”.
